Apollo (South Wirral) looked after my aunt for many years, and we always found them very professional and gave of their time in a very caring and professional manner. The staff I have met have all been excellent. They always question medication when appropriate and I am very happy with their services. The carers are friendly making my granddad feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible at all times. Overall I am impressed with the service that my grandad has received.

All our staff are vetted and employed directly by us, hold an enhanced DBS check and are highly trained. We regularly carry out unannounced spot checks on our staff whilst they are delivering care. Staff use an online phone app which tracks their location so that we are made aware if they have not arrived at a scheduled visit or may have encountered travel issues such as being late due to traffic or even broken down. We have a team of standby staff who are able to react quickly to changing care needs, this could be a carer being held up at a previous call due to a client being unwell, or the staff member being unable to attend due to illness. Be rest assured you will never be left without care PPE – our staff follow strict infection control procedures. We provide all our staff with uniforms and PPE which will be changed frequently during each visit to ensure your safety.
All staff have to do their basic Care Certificate plus many more, such as Handling and administering medications safely, Health and Safety, Food Safety, Manual Handling and Manual handling of People, Reporting and recording, Dementia, Diabetes, Catheter care, Stoma Care, Communication, Fire Safety, Infection prevention and Control, Safeguarding of Adults and Children, Basic Life Support and First Aid, Learning Disability and Autism Awareness. In addition to this many of our staff continue to develop their knowledge by undergoing further learning as well as their yearly updates.

YES! This is your care, and we want you to be in control. Tell us your normal routines, likes and dislikes – no one is the same and so why should your care be? We will develop a care plan that is completely tailored to your wants and needs. We will also revisit this regularly and when your needs change.
YES! You are in control of your care. We offer care slots to suit your needs and guarantee to be there within 15 minutes either side of this, with the only exception being if we have had an incident that has prevented staff from reaching you on time, such as bad weather, incident at the previous call etc. BUT, if we are running late we will call you to let you know.
